The media could not be loaded. Not intended for larger brushes. The plastic/silicone holder for the brush isnt very flexible and starts to break when I put my foundation, blush or bronzing brushes in it. Other than that, it did a good job cleaning my smaller eyeshadow and concealer brushes.

This makeup cleaning brush machine was an incredible purchase and some thing I was very happy to receive. Those of us in the make up industry know how many hours can go into cleaning your brushes and this machine just cut that down by so many hours. You simply lock in your make up brushes upside down, and the machine swivels the brushes around and basically does the job for you. You can also leave the brushes hanging upside down to dry so that the water or the brush cleanser liquid doesnt travel up the brush handle. This was easy to charge easy to use and I highly recommend it to anybody who would like to simplify their make up brush cleansing routine. This is a great value for the money and I am overall impressed with it and will definitely recommend this to anyone looking for one.

I'm reviewing CUBE LIFE Electric Makeup Brush Cleaner Machine with Mat, 1200mAh, Rechargeable, For All Size Makeup Brushes, White. This cleaner did a nice job cleaning my brushes. For powdered makeup brushes, I found that I could put several brushes in at one time, and it cleaned them effectively in short order. For brushed used with liquid makeup, I found it was more effective to clean one brush at a time leaving them in longer, then I used the mat with full strength brush cleaner, rinsed, then put it back in the cleaner with fresh water and a couple drops of cleaner for a few more minutes. Liquid makeup brushes are the hardest for me to get clean, and this helped the process go faster. Whenever using the cleaner, I added warm water to the fill line, then added a couple drops of brush cleaner. This unit produced a good amount of power and agitation, much more than another brush cleaner I have. The only downside is that the grid that holds the brushes wasn't as flexible as I expected, so some of my thicker handled brushes don't fit (reflected in star rating). Just a side note here, I'm a mixed media artist and clean my paint brushes on a regular basis. It's not a good idea to dry your brushes with the bristles up as shown in the description photo. The water will settle into the ferrule and can loosen glue and swell wood, shortening the life of your brushes. No reduction in my star rating, just a bonus tip. I find the price of $19.99 to be reasonable for this makeup brush cleaner. As a side note, this CUBE LIFE Electric Makeup Brush Cleaner is made in China.

This is a very powerful cleaner. It turned on easily and came with a cleaning mat too.

Color: Grey So far, I'm really loving this brush cleaner. It does things that those other brush cleaners cannot do which makes this one alone worth having over those. Ultimately, my brushes end up being safer and cleaner after use. Love that I can insert brushes and they stay put while being emersed in the liquid, be it water or makeup brush cleaner. Even has that blue light thing that makes them more sanitary. I'm seriously considering getting another one of these to use for other types of brushes. Don't want to use the same tank for these other purposes. Things like cleaning pastry brushes and water color brushes. I don't think it would work well with brushes used for oil or acrylic paints, but totally fine for water based ones. It's really a great concept. Tip: When filling with water and arranging brushes, do so so that the fibers of the brush are almost fully emersed into the liquids, but not the bed that attaches to the handle. You don't want to loosen anything inside there that might be holding those hairs or other fibers together. That's true regardless of what they are being used for. Understand that this is not a flaw with this product at all. Just the nature of brush construction and their materials.
