Doesn't lather and wouldn't recommend for oil skin. The oils in my skin went into overdrive. Also a bunch of bumps showed up on my forehead. Tried this due to them constantly changing and now discontinuing the charcoal face scrub which is so amazing for my type of skin.

This is a good product but gave it 4 stars since I think the formula has changed a little. It does give your skin a clean feel and priced is decent.

This daily clarifying cleanser can be used daily, and the instructions on the back say up to 3 times. However if its youre first time using to work up to the three times because it can cause peeling due to the salicylic acid. Personally I only started with using it once a day so that Id be able to notice quickly if any peeling or dryness was occurring, as I didnt want that to happen and my skin can be sensitive to products with salicylic acid. I didnt notice any peeling using it once a day so I decided to stick with that. The formula itself feels pretty light and there wasnt any overpowering fragrance. Didnt need to use too much product in order to cleanse my entire face. I followed up with a moisturizer. Ive heard of this brand before (my sisters tried their products) but this was my first time using it. Overall was a good lightweight option if youre looking for a daily cleanser that has some salicylic acid in it to help prevent/treat acne.

It is indeed fragrance-free. So dash your hopes of smelling tomato. It does have a faint smell of nothing in particular. It's a creamy lotion, not a liquid, and it does not lather. It attempts to defeat blemishes and acne with salicylic acid, which can have a drying effect, so best used when needed. However it cleans gently and rinses off cleanly. It benefits from a moisturizer afterward. Really like the way it dispenses downward. Easy to drop into your hand, and useful as it runs out.

This claims to be "fragrance-free", and though the scent is mild....I HATE how it smells.. (I will mention I am pregnant and might be slightly more sensitive to scents than usual). The scent doesn't last long after being washed away, fortunately, but it is impossible to avoid when this product is designed to be used on your face. I was very worried it would leave my face super dry as my skin has been more dry in general with the weather and pregnancy, but I was pleasantly surprised to not experience this product causing excessive dryness. I used this cleanser after my regular facial exfoliating scrub. I decided not to put any other products on after so I could get accurate results from the product alone. Since I did this facial care routine before bed, I observed my skin upon waking up. My face felt very clean, smooth and soft to the touch. Though it didn't feel super hydrated or moisturized I was pleased to not find it super dry. In the future I will use my regular moisturizer after using this cleanser, and I will probably only use this when I do experience breakouts (which I would say are mostly hormonal). Maybe after I have my baby I will be able to tolerate the smell better.
