I liked the charge status bar - rather than just a blinking charge light

I bought this charger in my attempt to reduce my "cable clutter". Sure, I should have been wary of the low price but, hey, it's just a battery charger. The first time I used it the charger acted fine. However, on day 15, I attempted to charge a single battery. No go. The lights for both charging ports flashed ... and flashed ... and flashed. OK, so maybe it was intended to ONLY charge 2 batteries (which I think is nuts but trying to give the seller the benefit of the doubt). So, I put my second battery in slot 2. The charging lights came alive and it seemed as though the charger was working. However, after less than 30 seconds both lights died and the charger completely stopped working. I then tested the battery's charge by putting it in my camera. Needless to say, it was still only about 50% charged. Save your money. DO NOT WASTE your hard-earned bucks on this.

First of all, be aware that these batteries have not been decoded as of v1.01 of the a7CII firmware; that is, you will get a warning message that these are not Sony batteries, and the camera will only display remaining charge as bars instead of an exact percentage. These batteries are also 2200mAh, 15.8Wh, versus the 2280mAh, 16.4Wh of the Sony battery. However, these batteries seem to work fine otherwise, and the first two issues are more Sony's fault.

Its a good product

Like other reviewers, I was put off by the high pricetag on the Sony brand charger and bought this instead to keep my two Sony batteries going on a thirty-day, very active trip to Europe. So glad I did-it's an absolute must to have an off-camera battery charger if you're a prolific photographer like me. It plugged right in to my coverter (another must) and worked as expected. Very lightweight and easy to bring with! Completely happy with this purchase.
