Lillie’s Q - Herb Salt Seasoning, Garlic and Herb Seasoning for Grilling, Seasoning with Chives and Parsley, Perfect on Meat, Poultry & Vegetables...

First thing I noticed was how sweet this was compared to other all-arounder herb seasonings...it's very sweet so keep that in mind as it limits the things you can put this on (unless you have a sweet tooth then it might be perfect for you). I mostly just used this for a little something extra on baked potatoes with butter. Aside from the sweetness I could tell the rest of the herb blend was great, I just think less sugar would allow that to stand out more and would enhance the flavor. It's not bad, just not for me.

I had to try this on chicken first on the grill and it came out great. I can taste pretty much all the flavors and it has a sweetness to it because that is how we do BBQ in the south and the chef was inspired of the sweet and hot so he included sugar in his. I don't fault him for that. The black garlic is killer in taste and is so much stronger than white garlic. Try these on French fries! Absolutely great! Also, very good on eggs too. The price point is a bit high but it is something you might want to try.

I really liked this mix. This is a good way to add a nice hint of something light and herby to your dishes. I've use it on meats as a partial marinade and added it to cream pasta sauces for a little kick. its great.

This seasoning tastes pretty good. I've used it on chicken so far and it was tasty. My only complaint is I think it could have less sugar and still taste good (sugar is listed as the first ingredient).

This is a nice broadly usable seasoning mix I've tried with a few different roasted vegetables and even scrambled eggs. Overall I found the seasoning really tasty and something that I could use for many different applications. The ingredients are definitely more interesting and unique than your average spice mix (eg black garlic, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce powder). The price is a little high but it does seem like a small business put a lot of effort into making this blend taste just right, so I think you get what you pay for. My issue is not the price but the weight of the product is posted in the title as 6.0 oz, on a picture of the product as 5.1, and listed in the body of the description as 5.8 oz. I didn't notice inconsistent descriptions until after I used it so I didn't get a chance to weigh the product for myself. As far as flavor, this spice mix is a little sweet, and sugar is the first ingredient listed. It also doesn't contain black pepper, but it does list "Spices" as the third ingredient. Is this secret spice of the family recipe? Who knows, but I would like to know what's in it. It also lists salt twice (salt and sea salt) - interesting - but the salt % is fairly low for spice mix (4% total rdv per serving). Even though this is pretty tasty on its own, I like black pepper and add it to so many things I cook that I wish this mix had some in there as well. Despite the label and product description discrepancies, I enjoy this mix and strongly recommend it.
