I have two small dogs, so if you're like me, you know they sometimes play nice. They can both fit but they don't have enough room to keep space between them. Other than that, they like laying on it so they can stay cool.

With the recent heat wave, I needed a cooling solution for my dogs crate and opted for this mat. Although I found it a bit smaller than I had anticipate (my oversight, check the measurements closely), it still does a good job of providing some much-needed cooling. The mat is easy to clean and fits nicely in the crate, helping to keep him cool during the spike in temperature.

The 23.0" L x 19.0" W x 0.2" Th is a good size for a full grown cat or small dog to stretch out on. I have medium sized dogs that haven't really paid this matt much attention, but my adult male cat went right for it claiming this matt for himself. The material feels great, it's very soft and silky, and does not seem to retain heat. There isn't much padding so I don't imagine this to be cushiony for my feline friend, but he doesn't seem to mind as long as it's in front of his favorite window. Neither side is grippy so this will slide around on tile/linoleum/vinyl/hardwood floors.

I got this cooling mat for my 16 lb dog who gets a little hot in the summer. The mat is soft and it does feel cool to the touch, but it is small; my 16lb dog is bigger than the mat when she lays on it. It would be a good size mat for dogs who are 10lbs or less but it is not big enough for dogs that are over 15 lbs since they are bigger than the mat when they lay on it. My dog seems to like it, I spread it out over her bed and she lays on part of it since it is too small for her whole body to fit on.

I was quite pleasantly surprised to feel that this actually seemed cool to the touch. Unlike blankets that claim to be cooling, this actually seems to stay cool because of the mesh underside that lets air keep circulating to keep the top layer cool. I set this on my larger dog's bed because he can get a bit warm in the summer months and he has been sleeping on it nonstop. The bed is large enough for him to avoid this if he wants, but he always chooses to sleep on it, so I assume that he likes it! It's a little small for the price, I think. It's very thin and I'm not sure how well it will hold up long term, but my dog likes it and it does what it is supposed to do, so ultimately that is what matters.
