If left in the direct sun it will get very messy and stick to anything that brushes up against it. I used it primarily for securing weak points for my solar cover for my 16 x 28 pool. But I put it on the cover for the Reel for my pool and sitting in the hot sun the edges of this tape become gummy and now have dog hair stuck to the edges from my dog bumping into it. Also dont count on it for repairing floatable devices as if is not in the water the sun will soften it and come off. Overall it is good for a lot of repairs. Just keep it out of the sun!

I purchased this to put on the seams of my gutters that were leaking pretty badly cuz I did not put them together correctly in the first place. The directions said to be sure the areas are thoroughly cleaned but it can be applied to wet or dry surfaces. I cleaned the area thoroughly and I tried it most of the way, there might have been a couple of damp spots. I used two rolls on my gutter for one side of the house. That night it rained and I got up leaks everywhere and tape falling off. it did not even hold for 5 hours. I was very disappointed. However company was very kind to stand by their products and gave me a full refund without even having to return the last 2 rolls I didn't use. No questions asked. So although that particular product was awful the company that selling it through Walmart had wonderful customer service.
