Ive been working with this woodworking tape for more than a year and I made a point of coming back to write a review to sing its praises. Its very sticky/tacky and the adhesive doesnt seem to harden over time. This means you can gently remove and reposition things long after youve stuck them together, which can be very useful. The biggest challenge is cutting the tape because it will stick to scissors and/or get bunched up. I cut it with an x-acto knife instead, being careful not to cut through more than one layer. Now that I have this tape in my toolkit, I find new uses for it almost daily. Highly recommended.

I was a little surprised by how thick and rubbery this tape is. I have been using standard Scotch Double Sided Tape for the last year or so for woodworking. And I always found it to be adequate. I just went through it too fast. And it didn't always stick the best. This stuff is very sticky, and holds very well. The only issue I have with it is that it is so thick and rubbery that it allows some movement in jigs and templates that I use in my projects. Not much, but just enough to diminish my precision. I find that if I use a lot of it, like close to 12" of strips to hold a small template down, then I can mitigate the flex of it. But, that could get expensive. Another complaint that I have seen in other reviews is how hard this stuff is to cut. I have had to either use a chisel or a box knife for each cut. If you try to tear it, it just stretches. All that being said, you get a lot of it for your money. But, I think I'll try a different brand next time I am in the market.

I heard about XFasten Double Sided Woodworking Tape from a woodworking internet video, where it was highly recommended for router work. I had previously tried several carpet tapes, but I didn't like their performance. I went on ZeeBooth and in a day or two I had a 3-roll pack delivered to my door. After several days of use, I must say that this tape does a really good job of holding my work down when Im routing. Even a little dust in the environment doesnt phase it. The adhesion is so good, I wondered if separating my work from my sacrificial base surface would be difficult, but it was not a problem. I sometimes use a thin, slotted screwdriver to start the separation, but otherwise, my work pieces separate using my bare hands. When separating the workpiece from the base, the tape separates cleanly and in one piece - it doesnt tear into pieces. So far, I haven't seen it damage any wood surfaces. Removal of the used tape from a surface is easy and Ive seen no residue left behind. An excellent product.
