The large size works the best for us. The chickens and roosters were pecking the other chickens so bad, they almost died. They ripped their feathers out. We tried chicken jackets and they would just peck around them. These peepers disable them. At first some of them won't get down from the perch for a day. Than they get used to them and start to eat and drink. Others didn't get bothered to much and live just fine with them on. You have to use two people one to catch and hold chicken in a towel hold their head. They didn't hurt them. It disorientates them a little. They get use to it.

I put these on my bully and instantly the other hens went after her. She never stood a chance. I separated her hoping she'd get her barings but she was acting like she was drunk with these on. Not to mention that she scratched herself bloody trying to get the thing off. Yes the idea behind them is great. They ate easy to put on but an absolute fail for my chickens.

We added a few pullets to our flock, and my rooster was being so mean to them. Attacking and pulling feathers. We put these blinders on him and immediately he stopped attacking. If he saw them from the side, he would try to lunge at them, but he wasnt able to actually attack anymore. After 4 weeks, I took them off and now hes super sweet to the new girls. It worked SO well. They were a little tricky to put on. I couldnt figure out how to get the pliers to work. What ended up working best was pulling them apart by hand. This one fits great with thick combs. I had to move his comb to the side just a little bit. But he acted comfortable, not in any pain. Worth the cost to keep my new girls safe. Theyre thick, so once in place, they dont come off easily.

Product does work. Right away the aggressive chicken was not able to peck and try to kill our one younger hen. It also allow the younger additional time to get away. Sadly our aggressive hen is way too aggressive and was able to scratch off the product after 1 day. Luckily our kids found out within minutes and able to save the younger hen. We end up isolating the aggressive hen and stop using the product because we afraid she will scratch it off again and the youbger hen will be in big trouble.

It took two people to place these on each chicken, one to hold the chicken and the other to put these on (inside the nasal opening on beak). The day after I placed them on my chickens I only got two eggs (I normally get between 10 and 14). The chickens didn't seem to mind so I thought it was ok. Since they have been on I haven't gotten any eggs from my chickens. I can't say this caused it but it's the only thing that changed (except they stopped pecking each other). I decided to remove these after about 4 days and it became obvious to me that they were indeed hurting my hens. They were very difficult to remove (it was easier to just pull them apart with my fingers rather than using the pliers). It caused my hens a considerable amount of distress removing them so I know they were hurting them. Since I removed them my hens immediately went into their coop and dove into their food like they hadn't been fed in ages. I got a couple eggs but I just removed them yesterday so I'm hoping things go back to normal soon. I'll use the no peck spray I also purchased in place of these. Other people may have had better luck but I would never put them back on my hens. UPDATE; My hens are doing wonderful and no more bullying! They have just started laying again so all is well. I'm happy everyone had better luck with their peepers than I did. I'm in my 70's so maybe it was a little more difficult for me to put them on my hens.
