This is a pretty regular choke collar. I got the 24 one and it is the right size for my male German Shepherd. The collar is a little heavier than I would like. Unfortunately, at the 24 size they increase the size of the links which I dont really like. Smaller links hold a big dog just as easily and the bigger the size the more it can get caught and not pull as smoothly. As for the machining of the collar all the links connect nicely. The whole thing feels pretty tough, again the links are thicker than I normally use. Overall, seems like a pretty normal basic choke collar to me.

Really good quality choke collar. The chain is smooth so it slides easily through the ring, and the stainless steal aspect keeps it looking shiny. I'm very happy with this.

I'm not big on using chokers on dogs however I ordered this one for bath time. My pup gets his baths outside and to keep him in place I use a leash only problem is his collar always gets wet and soapy and thats uncomfortable for him so this is a good alternative and worked great!

We have a year and a half old labradoodle that is pretty good on walks, but can't seem to contain himself when he sees other dogs. We don't usually take him up to other dogs because he gets so amped that other pet owners can't tell if he's aggressive or just excited. With normal collars, he'll just tug until he gets tired (which takes a long time). This choke collar has been helpful in restraining him. He still makes the effort to go toward the other dogs, but when the chain tightens, he quickly gets the message that he's misbehaving.

This is a medium weight chain but more than strong enough for your dog. The links and rings at the ends are individually welded. I got the 24" chain and used it as a training chain on a horse halter so there are more uses for it than just a dog collar.
