These work perfect with our small emitter lines, and one of my favorite parts of the adjustability of them. I would buy these again in a heartbeat and I recommend them to you. Easy to use to adjust and I like the blue color.

I wish I had discovered these 1/4" Drip Irrigation Emitter for 1/4" Drip Irrigation Tubing a long time ago. The emitters are super easy to adjust and installing them is a simple affair. Nice that they are staked, too. I did have to soak the 1/4-inch tubing in hot water for a few seconds to get the tubing over the emitter barb. Otherwise, these are easy to use, and are the best emitters I have found.

I've used these adjustable emitters before (without the stake) and they are great for setting your irrigation to give the right amount of water to each plant. We have some palm trees and some xeriscape type plants (which still need a bit of water.) With these, I can adjust each emitter instead of trying to keep track of all the different flow rate emitters. I really like the stake. It makes it easy to adjust the emitter with one hand (at 52 years old, sometimes it's hard to get both hands one inch from the ground without kneeling in the dirt.) The stake acts like a second hand to hold the base of the emitter when you screw / unscrew the top. It also makes it easy to see how much water is coming out - and makes the water spray horizontally instead of up into the air. As others have mentioned, it's harder to push these barbs into the drip tubing. But I left my tubing out in the sun for an hour and it was totally doable. Definitely not un-doable though. I had to slice the tubing open to remove from one when I had an issue with placement and needed shorten the line. But a slice with a utility knife worked just fine. Because they are so affordable, I give them 5 stars for the price and performance. The big barb isn't enough to lose one star IMO.

As others have noted, the barbs are a little bigger than most for 1/4" tubing - I was able to get the tubing on okay, but I'm not sure I'll be able to pull it off when the need arises. My biggest gripe is that the adjustments are too coarse, at least toward the lower end. Each click increases the spray distance by 50% or more, which makes it very difficult to get the right amount of coverage.

While these drip irrigation emitters seem like a good deal, they are not for -inch tubing. Based on the size of the barbs, they appear to be sized for 8mm or 5/16" tubing. The photo shows a " emitter barb on the left, and this emitter on the right. The barbs themselves measure ", but " tubing is the OUTSIDE diameter of the tubing, not the inside. If you try to force these into " tubing, the tubing will eventually split and you will have a water leak to fix.
