These are fine for attaching wire to a surface or to hold wire where you want in a project. I opted to use them to hold welded wire fencing to a deck. They work ok for this, it just takes a lot more than I expected. The metal is fairly flimsy and so I had to use a clamp about every 10-12 inches all the eay around the panel. If these were made from a harder steel material then they would be great for this use. If you are looking for something that will work with fence panels just understand that you will need a lot more than you expect. Also the tiny little screws do not provide a lot of holding power.

The material is thin enough and the hole is far enough away from the wire to be held that the wire will wiggle and work and flex the clamp until the clamp fails. I took a freshly installed clamp and yanked the wire back and forth and broke the clamp in about 15 seconds. I abused it i'll admit, but how long in real world conditions would it last? 10 years? 20? i dont know. But the rest of the fence i'm installing could well last 50 to 60 years, so 20 years dont cut it.

A little flimsy, but worked for holding down 12g utility/hog wire panel to a gate. There's a lot of them so I can see using them up over time for all different things on the ranch, maybe even in the house.

Bought these to hang no trespassing signs on my 1 acre herd wire fencing.

These worked great for putting up cattle panels for our goat enclosure. Easy to use and are durable as long as you dont over tighten them with a impact drill.
