Actual tool in hand is awesome. Construction, design and materials are most excellent, darn good tool and sheath all around value. Buy several at this price.

I have been using this tool for over a year now. I LOVE IT! I have cut tree roots, pried up rocks out of the soil, planted countless plants. It is used almost everyday! Friends love it. I can never seem to keep track of the sheath, but its all good. As long as I keep track of the Hori Hori. Reason I cant keep track of the sheath is I don't wear a belt and lay the sheath down and someone will come along and help me pick up things and then not remember where they put it. ;) To be honest, I don't take care of it the way I should. I don't always clean it after each use or even oil the wood handle to keep it in great shape. With that said. It looks just as good today as the day it arrived! Well with a few scratches. NO RUST! NO SPLITS in handle. Everyone should have one of these in their gardening bag/box. I paid full price, as of the time of my order, as listed on ZeeBooth. I may have used a gift card that I received. I haven't been using this tool for more than a couple weeks but it's helped me divide dozens of plants in varying soil conditions and has held up very well. It's come in handy for many other small gardening jobs as well, since the sheath can be attached to my belt it's always handy. I haven't had to sharpen it yet, but did use the included tool to sharpen a kitchen knife and it worked very well. I only wish there was some way to store the sharpening tool to the sheath. Right now I have it with my tools but it would be nice to always have it handy. I've read other reviews where folks find the sheath to be lacking, but for the price I feel like it's perfect. It's not pretty but it slides onto a belt and keeps the blade, and nearby flesh, safe.
