And why do they hate this baffle so muck?? Because they cannot get to the bird seed. I do wish they offered one for a PVC 2" pipe .. hint hint.

It works well, but would be improved if they removed the lip, i.e., the part of the dome, on bottom, that juts out a few centimeters. Some squirrels are able to grab onto the lip with their claws to climb over and scale the baffle. If they do this, they reach the feeder by sitting on top of the baffle. I think if there were NO lip, it would be harder for them to grab hold. Still it works better than others we've tried. It's also super sturdy and the metal clamp was perfect for our square, metal pole.

Best squirrel baffle for a pole feeder on the market. I feed year round, and in Iowa, winter is especially important. I've tried all the anti-squirrel inventions over the years, and this one is the bomb. I've watched those little thieves climb all kinds of poles and shepherd's hooks, even greased ones (they keep working at it until the grease wears off), and I've watched them climb up under this dome (even on a perfectly round steel pole), become baffled (I know), and give up. Properly installed (the mounting hardware is included - be sure the dome is loose on the pole), they simply can't defeat it. This is my third one, and by far the best built/sturdiest. I've done a review of this product before, and there's no reason to change my mind now. Five stars. One tip - use the cable tie around the pole about 1/2 - 3/4 of an inch above the dome to reduce the dome's flopping too much in the wind, and thus reducer stress on the plastic at the hole. One additional note: I've seen reviews rejecting the product because of a plastic plug in the hole for the pole. That plug is for shipping support. When you get your baffle, remove the plug (it breaks apart - just grasp the edge of it with both hands - one inside the dome, one outside - and break it apart.) I agree that instructions would be helpful.

The baffle appears to be well made and it will work fine on my birdfeeder pole. But, it was delivered with a black plastic plug in the hole that has no purpose that I can see. There were no instructions for removing the plug and it was impossible to remove without breaking the baffle. I had to cut the plug to pieces with a Dremel tool to remove it. Hence the one star rating. Otherwise it would be five stars.

After returning other squirrel baffles, I finally found one that is perfect in EVERY way. Although I only just installed it, here are the reasons that I chose it: 1. Is clear plastic material that does not distract from the birds who will dine above it. 2. Beautifully and smartly packaged to minimize any scratches or problems. 3. Very easy to put after viewing the website again. Would have been nice to include simple instructions. 4. Extremely smart and simple design that should hold up a long time. 5. Very inexpensive too! Here is what could be improved: 1. Include simple instructions. 2. Change the unusual screws which requires a hex tool which most people will not have to either a regular flat or phillips screw. This was a very unusual purchase for me as I usually read the reviews and there were only two on ZeeBooth. However, the simple description proved to me that this as the perfect anti-squirrel baffle!
