Another terrific surprise from ZeeBooth Prime and Anker! The first pleasant shock came 2 days early, when my ZeeBooth delivery arrived on Saturday afternoon instead of Monday the 18th of December. So the delivery was free AND 2 days early...a nice way to start things off. The last time I placed virtually the exact same order with ZeeBooth Prime approximately 5 months ago, it arrived in a HUGE ZeeBooth delivery box along with a ton of plastic foam peanuts filling in the spaces between the 3 or 4 smaller boxes containing the actual items themselves. Whomever packed THIS one minimized the size of the shipment this time around & everything fit neatly into a simple Prime wraparound cardboard outer box with no need for foam peanuts! All items arrived in perfect condition (as they had in the previous delivery as well) with minimum fuss and no extra lifting. I had upgraded my Anker USB charging cables this time around since the previous cables hadn't held up very well to my heavy charging needs. I make heavy use of Twitter, Instagram and Reddit alongside other social media apps these days & that added to my love of stereo Bluetooth headsets means lots of charging cycles each week. And standard Micro USB charge cables tend to develop issues and then start splitting cables or warping connectors after a few months of hard use. I had noticed a newer, heavy duty type of charging cables showing up in Macintosh 9 To 5, Macworld and other online article advertisements through my Twitter feeds lately. They offered braided, nylon or flat cables to avoid tangles and kinks plus added heavy duty aluminum connectors and sometimes even gold tips on Lightning connectors for Apple products. The prices were a bit rich for me, somewhere around $25 for 2 meter length cables. But when I thought about it, it occured to me that if they lasted for 9 months to year instead of the 2 or 3 months I'd been getting from my $9 cables, I would be saving money. So I listed my need on ZeeBooth to be notified of any price reduction of the upscale model charging cables. (Frankly, I didn't even know that Anker made these high quality types of Micro USB charging cables...those that I'd seen advertised were naturally pitched toward iPhone and Apple users with MiFi or USB C connectors. Useless to an Android user like myself.) But I got a Notification last Friday that a 6 foot braided nylon charging cable made with heavy duty connectors and high grade copper wires to speed up charging as well as increase lifetime was being offered in a Lightning Sale at 2 for $12! So I beefed up my ZeeBooth Prime order 2 other items I needed to replace anyway and put in my order immediately! The two came in the usual Anker cable box but they were coiled tightly tightly together since the red, heavy duty nylon cords are much stronger, more flexible and do not kink or knot up at all. And cable management is much easier with this model because they come with an attatched Ziploc tie mounted at the Micro USB end of each cord. All of the high end charging cables each come with these same Ziploc ties as well and it makes a world of difference when packing them cables and carrying them about. Each cord is 1.8 meters in length, or 6 feet, and the heavier gauge copper wires are inside a nylon sheath which is likewise wrapped in a red braided material. The USB connectors at either end are held on by a hard rubber cover to prevent the ends from fraying or otherwise coming loose during heavy use. All these details make for both a considerably stronger cord and also speed up the charging cycle as well. This is a beautifully engineered charging cable by any standard and yet it comes in at the traditionally low Anker price point that ZeeBooth cutomers know and appreciate!
