We have ordered multiple version of this lock and have never had any issues. We ship luggage and golf equipment a lot, and use this simple to program lock for everything. The cable is long enough and it's flexible and sturdy, so it locks easily.

Inexpensive solution for multiple bags

Although I have not actually used these for my upcoming trip (will post review afterwards) that I bought these for, I thought I would at least comment on the fact that these seem really solid and work as intended, which is more of a deterrent (if someone wants to get in your bag/luggage, they will). I read many reviews on the area that I am flying to and many of them said that pillaging at these particular airports were common, and that it is a good idea to get locks as well as have the airline shrink-wrap you piece (a service they provide...who knew!). To avoid all of this, I was going to just pack a carry-on, however, on some of the flights from country to country, the airline restrictions are so limited that it is almost impossible to not check one....unless you're flying first-class which allows for more. I guess if you were going to wear the same clothes all the time that would be ok, but we are going to several areas where the climate goes from really hot to very cold so we need to bring several layering items, etc. Anyways, back to the locks...again, they seem reliable and the combos were really easy to modify and they have the TSA keyhole so that they do not have to break it off of the luggage to check it, this way they can easily put it back on just like the description states.
