These are handy speakers to have around for building/testing small audio projects. I like that they are connectorized already with JST PH2.0 connectors, which makes them easy to plug into some peripheral boards that already have speaker pins, but only the 2mm pitch. Unfortunately, most JST connectors on several microcontroller peripherals are 2.54mm pitch, and the next most common size seems to be 1.25mm pitch (e.g. on the ESP32 CYD), so double check what size you need if the JST connector size is important to you. I also like that they have mounting holes built in. Since these are only 3W at 4 ohms, you can actually drive them as if they are headphones, albeit very quietly, directly from your phone. However, you will need some kind of amplifier if you want to get a reasonable volume (but still only 3W, so not super loud). I tested both, and they both worked great. 5 Stars!

These are a nice option for small instruments or speakers. I like building circuits, and if you're like me, you're probably familiar with the bridged T kick drum. These little speakers manage to put out a decent kick down to ~100 Hz. Not spectacular, but after A/Bing with a couple other popular styles of 3W 4ohm project speakers, I think this style edges them out just slightly in the low range. The shape offers me some versatility compared to those typical square shapes too. Plus these are a little thinner than the most common style of 3W 4ohm I tend to see. These appear unassuming but I'll say it, I like these the best.

The speakers sound just OK with playing music. I would see these being used for something that makes sound effects or speaks briefly. I had plans to use these for music but I am going another route. Overall the speakers do produce a good amount of sound. I put around 5 watts to them.
