This is a great set of three pairs of shears for your gardening and indoor plants. The set includes narrow blade (green handle), great for my raspberry stems but I'm keeping these indoors to trim my potted plants. The orange shears are the ones I used the most this weekend to remove tons of tomato stems and suckers, plus dead heading flowers. The yellow handle would be great if they opened up just a bit more at it would not fit even narrow stems. It did not work well even for trimming the tomato plants so that's why I took off a star. However, there are two pluses: each has a lock to keep the blades safely together and the bright colors are great to help me find the shears when I leave them in a bed or in the grass! And the price - holy moly, you can't go wrong with that!

Used the large yellow shear to trim several small bushes as well as the lower branches of a small tree and had no issues cutting through 1/2" branches, but 3/4" ones sometimes took more convincing and multiple cuts. The handles feel fairly nice and I had no issues using it while wearing some work gloves. The color coding also makes it easy to find the right pair even if they're in a dark shed or drawer. For the price, this set seems pretty hard to beat and hopefully will last a good while before needing sharpening.

These were being sold for under $8 when I picked them up, which is incredible. The shears are not rock solid quality, and as a result I wonder how useful or how long-lasting the largest pair will be. However, the fine pruning shears and the medium cutting pair are both nice enough to last for a long time. All three pair come with springs and locking mechanisms. They arrived sharp right out of the box. I don't want to get this reviewed canceled, so I'll just say that I home grow a crop that used to be illegal. With this newly legalized crop, all three of these shears are useful for various stages of harvesting. If you're new to home growing medicinal flowers, this is an incredibly affordable way to get all of the gear you need for harvest.

I do a lot of perennial gardening. Always cutting back, deadheading, pruning. These 3 pruning sheers cover all of my needs. No they are not top name brand that cost $ 35.00 a peace. But they have been doing the job perfectly fine for me. The locking mechanism on all 3 are different, The smallest one can be a little tricky at times, the other two - the locking mechanism is very nice. How big of a branch will they cut? The larger pruners are good for up to 3/8" green wood, if the wood is dead it will be a difficult cut. Mainly because the blades do not open enough to get good leverage. However - when cutting with a lot of force the blades did not twist or spread apart at all, a real good sign. another big thing for me, these do not pinch my hands, I have some pruners that for some reason whenever I squeeze them they pinch my hand. These do not seem to do that. No these pruners are not "the best" out there, but for the price I believe you are really getting more than what you are paying for.

Pictures on product information page accurately show/describe pruners. I have another set of identical pruners that I'd ordered a couple of years ago, probably the same manufacturer but different vendor. At any rate, the older set has lasted, in prefect shape, for the past two years. And they've been abused badly. I live in Central Arkansas with extremely high humidity. Most of my outdoor tools get rusty and have to be cleaned on a regular basis. These cutters have stayed in their original conditions despite having been left outdoors, sometimes in the rain. These three cutters are exactly the same so I'm expecting them to last for a long, long time. Each of the cutters has its own particular use(s). I use the larger cutter, with yellow/black handle, for trimming anything up to about 3/4" in size, the orange/black handled cutter for trimming medium sized branches on my rose bushes and the smallest cutter, green/black handle, for deadheading my rose bushes and for cutting fresh flowers of indoor use. All are sharp, have good locking mechanisms and are comfortable in my medium sized hands. If you're after a decent set of pruning shears at a great price then these are the ones. Highly recommended.
