I use this all the time. I was terrible at uploading pics and videos from my phone. Now I can immediately send my friends their photos. I carry this with me everywhere because I take my point and shoot out with me all the time. It's nice not having to download an app.

I don't always like plugging my phone into my laptop to transfer photos, as it wants to transfer all, instead of ones I select. With this device, I can plug it into my phone and pick which photos to transfer to a SD card and then to my laptop. I can also store on the SD card as a backup as well. Another review pointed out how they use it to save video files from a dashcam recorder and I can now do the same thing instead of taking down the dashcam recorder and attaching to my laptop. Easy to use and very convenient device.

I got this today and located an old SD card to run a quick test on functionality. IT WORKS! I was able to read the SD card files on my computer (via USB-C and USB-2) and on my Android phone via USB-C. (I'm not really an Apple guy so I don't have results for the lightning connector.) The product is lightweight but made of sturdy plastic. The connections are firm with no wiggling. I like this and will use it. This can eliminate the reliance on cloud services in order to transfer files.
