I bought these for a community art project for kids to use to write their names -- I mixed white acrylic paint with a little water like the other reviewer described, and they worked perfectly. They are a little confusing to refill because you have to remember to unscrew them the opposite way of what is normal. The one downside is that after a year the balls inside have rusted and discolored the white paint. I can live with it but if you want to avoid this, you might look into putting a marble or something else in there so this doesn't happen.

The media could not be loaded. It took me so long to figure this out, as there are a few pieces that can come unscrewed at the top. It is also reverse threaded, so no "righty tighty lefty loose". It is the opposite of this. It irritated me, but I read in the product description that this is on purpose. It prevents any paint or ink from leaking out. I am using them to make DIY stain sticks, so (like the real Tide Stain sticks), they always go in a small ziploc before I put it in my purse. Great product. I have a lot of ideas for it.

I filled one with black pro dye and use it on all my leather edges. A few coats may be needed but its so easy to use and get the dye pretty much only where I want it to go. My only complaint is I wish instead of 4 of the same markers they had 2 of these and 2 markers with a much smaller tip

These here pens are perfect for finishing the edges on leather projects. I use em on every project to keep the edges neat. They do have a weird reverse screw top that throws ya off ifn yall are in a hurry and concentratin on the project. For that reason, I top em off before startin any project! Other than the reverse thread screw on top, they are great!

5 stars! I am a leather worker and was looking for something easier to apply edge dye. These seemed like they would work, but I was not quite sure because they are not a name brand. I took a chance on them, and it paid off! These little markers are game changers for dyeing the edges on my leather projects. I used one of them to put my Tokenole burnisher solution as well and while its a little bit thicker, it still flows through the felt nib. I am thrilled with how these things work. I have not had any leaks at all either, and that was one of the worries I had before buying them. One thing to note on them is that the cap has reverse threads, so when you go to try and take the marker apart to begin with to fill it up you have to twist it like you were tightening it, and reverse when putting it back on. could not be happier with these markers.
