My 15 month old got ahold of one, and it survived. It was chewed on for a while, but after retrieving it and drying it off, it was totally fine.

Durable paper for when it matters most. As a person whose job entails working outside and hastily writing notes for myself and my coworkers, I go through many notepads. Most of the time I use them up but occasionally a notepad might get destroyed because of the dampness and strenuous working conditions. Its not the most important loss in my life but it does get annoying not to have something readily available when needed. If my situation describes your own, let me tell you about my experiences with this notebook set. The Wrenbren stonepaper notebook is a water-resistant notepad with special weather-resistant paper. Featuring plastic covers and a heavily modified paper that is more resistant to water, it survives conditions that would weaken, if not outright destroy what you buy at a local office supply store. Measuring in 3 in. x 5in. (7.5 cm 12.6cm), each page features a graphing paper pattern that accommodates both text and mathematical/engineering notes. Coupled with the right pen or pencil, you can be confident that whatever you write in this notebook will still be there in the weeks and months ahead. There are two things you need to be mindful of. The first is that the paper in this notebook has been modified so much that I do not think it's paper anymore. The water-resistant property will make it difficult for some inks to set and from my experience pencils, china markers, and space pens are the best writing utensils that will survive the conditions this notepad is intended for. Sure, you can what is immediately available like markers, ballpoint pen ink, and gel inks but they will either need more time to dry or will fade/wash off in rain or sunshine. With that in mind, this is a wonderful little notepad. The thick plastic covers provide additional protection for the individual sheets themselves and survives the near-constant push and pull as I take it out of my pocket. So when you need to take notes and need to be sure they survive a rainy week or blistering sun, the Wrenbren series of notebooks combines the features you need at a price that is an incredible bargain.

Solidt notebook and paper. Pages xon't tear with use like conventional paper memo pads (mine go in-and-out of my back pocket all day) and holds up to water. Pressing too hard does pentrate the page. Not a big deal but noteworthy. That said, the ruler on the back is just hilariously bad. The metric side has the 'middle' hash on 4mm not 5mm (read: not the middle) and the inches have 1/10th incriments (sorry, we aren't in metric anymore) instead of 1/16th (or 1/8th?) incriments.
