50 pcs 1 Inch Pool Fence Hole Cover Deck Patio Safety Ground Caps Fit Standard 1" Diameter Holes (Beige)...

Wanted to find some caps to cover the empty safety fence holes on our pool deck... Mainly to help camouflage them, so they're not so much of an eyesore - and also you get the added benefit of keeping debris from getting down into the holes and then inevitably little weeds from sprouting up out of them. These caps, so far, are working out well. The size of the caps (1" diameter) fits the holes nicely and they go in quite snug. So much so, that, once inserted, you almost need a screwdriver or flat edged tool to pry them up once they're in. The material they're made from is also flexible and has some bend to it, so that they could probably fit into holes that are a bit misshapen or not perfectly round, if needed. Another nice surprise was that the color of these caps happens to be fantastic for matching the color of our particular pool deck. They're listed as beige but I find the color to be more of an off-white or cream than a true beige (which for our patio, is just about perfect). Of course I can't speak as to longevity yet, as I've only installed them yesterday. Based solely on just how the plastic feels, I would be surprised to get much more than a year out of them before they need replacing. Especially being that they'll be receiving many hours of brutal Florida sun every day and also some limited exposure to pool chemicals. But I will come back and update this review once they are deteriorated enough to need replacing so you know how long they lasted. My reason for taking off a star is that all of the caps come printed/embossed with a little code (apparently the part number, I'm guessing) on top of all of them. Upon closer inspection, the photos in the product listing do seem to indicate that. However, since these caps are mainly for aesthetic purposes (looks), it's not ideal to have numbers and letters written all over the main (and only) part you really see. Luckily, with a bit of time, I was able to remove them almost entirely by using a razor blade and skimming off the plastic from the numbers/letters until it was level with the rest of the cap. (I tried sanding them with sandpaper at first, too, but that didn't work nearly as well.) They're not 100% perfect, but a heck of a lot better than they looked before.
