After a week of use I've been waiting for any kind of smell to come from these dishcloths. It never happened. Everyday dishcloths smell after a couple of uses but these don't. For me that is its main attraction. It's a good dish scrubber and it certainly feels better than steel wool soap pads, which are incredibly messy, and feel terrible. I don't believe that this will turn out to be a fad. They are light and don't drag while you're trying to clean a pot or a dish. They glide while using. This is the future of washing dishes by hand. Even though I'll be using these now and into the future instead of smelly rags, I want to address some of the features that are mentioned in the listing. You can't dry dishes with these. They're non-absorbent, being metal. No wiping down surfaces either, such as countertops. These are an addendum to the process of washing dishes. You'll still need an absorbent material to wipe and dry your countertops or perhaps clean the side of your refrigerator from splashes. Five stars for washing dishes. One star for drying dishes and wiping down countertops.

These came as expected and they work nicely on my glass and stoneware, I haven't tried them on stainless pans so I can't help there. I hope this was some help to someone. Thanks

The dishcloth has a soft border so the ends do not scratch the user. After a few days on the sink, they have not rusted. They clean pots and racks well. For the most part, they can replace a steel scrub pad. A steel scrub pad is rougher so I will keep them around for when I need the extra scraping power, but this dishcloth will be used for most things where I was using the steel scrub pad.

I got these thinking they might be a good alternative to an expensive chainmail scrubber. I think I was right-on in the fact that this wire dishcloth did not scratch the seasoning on my carbon steel skillet, but quickly removed a layer of stuck-on scrambled egg. Chain mail scrubbers are great at removing stubborn chunks, but they can also scratch the seasoning. That's not a huge deal to me as the seasoning will grow back, but I know it bothers some folks. Anyway, these wire dishcloths worked great at removing the stuck-on scrambled egg remains...made quick work of it in fact. I would say it worked a little faster than a non-scratch scrub pad (the blue plastic ones).

These stainless steel mesh washcloths work GREAT getting stubborn stuck-on food removed from casserole dishes. They're made of two layers of the metal mesh hemmed together around the outer edge, and the layers aren't bonded together which means food particles get embedded between the layers, so you'll want to rinse them out very thoroughly after use, Nonetheless I like them a lot and will be using them a lot. Unsure how long they'll last at this point but with 12 to a pack I should be set for a good while.
