This did not work with the Nikon D800E or D810. Nor did it work with the two Nikon field Scopes that I had.

I am trying to stay neutral with this review... Although I am experienced with photography and Nikon cameras, I am new to telescope attachments and how they should work. To be honest, I haven't been able to get a decent picture with my Nikon D7100 and this attachment. It fits the camera but then I can't seem to get a stable connection to the eye piece of the telescope. The extension tube has 3 plastic screws that really do not get a good grip on the eye piece. I have been more successful with an iPhone attachment than with this. I admit that perhaps is my lack of experience with this type of attachments, but this shouldn't be that hard. So, I am not going to give it one star saying that it doesn't work. My review is based on the fact that I haven't been able to use it to get quality pictures (better than the ones I can get with my iPhone attachment) and there are no instructions provided with the item.

This barely fits onto a nikon fieldscope zoom eyepiece, 20-60x. It will not fit over the newer, larger eyepiece of the nikon monarch fieldscope. I'm guessing it won't fit most high end scopes for that reason, but it's fine for a normal smaller eyepiece like for a nikon ed50 stock eyepiece. This is held to the eyepiece by three cheap plastic screws, I don't see those lasting for very long before getting stripped or lost. It does work, but it's not quick to switch the camera on and off. Also, it doesn't work except in full manual mode on the camera, thinks "lens not attached". I'd probably recommend something better than this if youre this into photography, but its fine to play experiment with, maybe just pointed at a bird feeder.
