Excellent but not overpowering flow and versatile

I put this powerhead on a number of different types of coarse and fine PPI filters, including containers with Filter floss and it certainly did the job without disturbing my planted tanks or stressing out my fish too much. Excellent for flow if you want something steady and I was happy with the oxygenation bubbling sound which I find soothing. Seems to be a quality unit despite being an expensive. A worthwhile powerhead!

The media could not be loaded. Excuse the off-colored water in the video, there is currently medication in the tank. This thing started off being awesome. Good flow for a 30 gallon and it removed unsightly lines for airstones, keeping it down to just one line that's hidden I a corner. Then the problems started after about 3 weeks. The pump keeps bogging down, only working intermittently. In the video, I have the air line wide open (cap actually fully removed). Confirmed the line is clear, venturi is clear, the outflow tube is clear, imoeller spins. It moves water, but does not draw air in through the venture despite everying being clear of debris and seemingly functional. Pull it out of the tank, disassemble, find no problems... put it back together and it works for a couple days then quits again. I have a pre-filter sponge over the inlet since there are shrimp thst may get sucked into it. I temporarily removed that sponge thinking it was restricting flow, and that made no improvement. We are outside of the warranty return window and I'm glad it was cheap since the durability seems to be pitiful as it now needs to be disassembled and "reset" every couple days.
