This is a great organizer to keep your pen and notebook handy. Fits a standard 3x5 notebook with binding along the short edge (top). Does not fit if your 3x5 notebook has binding on the long edge (side). Also, will not comfortably hold a BIC plastic pen as it is too long. Causes the cover to not fold closed correctly. Use a smaller pin like a Parker Jotter pen which is slightly smaller (I've seen a click variant of a Fisher Space pen that works well, what I need up using). Overall, a tough durable case that keeps your notebook and pen together and protected from the elements.

This is a pretty good notebook cover--as long as you keep the contents to an absolute minimum. It fits mighty tight on the notebook, and anything more than one pen seems to strain the whole thing, especially as a full-sized pen needs to sit at an angle in it. While the zippers are tight, it might loosen a bit with time and use, however. It IS secure, and it is pretty darned rain resistant, as well.

I figured 3x5 note pad, 10 index cards and 4 sharpies would fit. Nope, will note zipper shut. I custom made 3 short pens and 1 short pencil along with trimming a half inch off the end of the index cards to make everything fit as it should have to begin with.

We got this item for our son who was going into the Navy. As you know going into the military boot camp you are not allowed many items. So this was very convenient for him. This item doesn't come with a notepad or pen, so we need to search for this items. Found them. 3x5 notepad and 4inch pen. The item is waterproof, light weight, very durable, fits easily in any pocket of a shirt as well as back pant pocket. The color was perfect. Great worth of the value. I picked up the 3x5 notebook cover for the express purpose of keeping a note pad and a couple of pens together and organized. It always seems that I'm misplacing one or the other and this solution takes care of that. The 3x5 cover is on the small side but it does easily hold a Rite in the Rain 3x5 spiral notepad. In fact, it would easily hold 2 if you put one on the other side. The pen slots are somewhat short. They will hold a standard sized pen but it extends past the mid-point of the cover and interferes with closing and zipping the cover up. However, they are perfectly sized to hold smaller pens like the Fisher Bullet pen as shown in the photos. I have mine loaded with 2 of these pens and could easily get a small pen knife (i.e. SAK Classic) in one of the other slots. The zippered pocket on the other side of the pouch would be great for keeping smaller items secured. (Keys, money, credit cards, ID, etc.) The construction on mine was first rate. The stitching was straight and well executed and the zipper positioned in a way that looks good and closes easily. The edges are finished nicely and the entire unit looks like it will hold up for years to come.
