I was expecting a pure cinnamon smell, like cinnamon sticks... but this smells like cinnamon and - something else? Almost like a spicy scent. It's okay if that's what you like, but I was hoping for something different. As far as the packaging and value, this is good.

Review of cinnamon essential oil from AVATRA AYURVEDA I am very pleased with this essential oil. I had used this on my skin with a carrier oil and was just told as I walked into a room that the smell of cinnamon was immediately obvious from the other side of the room. That was with only a drop or so on me. Maybe I should be even more sparing next time... I love the smell, though. It comes with an empty second bottle which I immediately filled upon receiving the essential oil. It's nice to be able to use the little bottle with a dropper and carry that around and reseal the larger bottle with the extra plastic plug it came with and store it away. This is a product of India (one of the countries that a lot of the world's cinnamon comes from).

This is a solid pack of Cinnamon oil; I believe it is bark oil versus leaf oil, simply because the ingredient list contained the words Cinnamomun Zeylanicum, which generally means it's distilled from the bark. The amount contained in the large bottle would probably last a lifetime if used for topical use only. Pure cinnamon oil is very powerful, a tiny amount goes a long way; I like that the listing showed examples of how this oil can be used from soap making to cleaning. The package included a travel size portion as well as the large 3.38 oz bottle & a glass dropper. I love that the oil is packaged in glass, even the travel size is glass with its own glass dropper. I started with the travel bottle, because I wanted to use it topically. Came packaged in a nice box; would make a good gift. Good product; great value.

This essential oil arrived in a very gift looking box, has tight seal on the box and the essential oil has a unbroken twist cap to assure it's freshness. The oil is made in India, and this bottle of Cinnamon oil seems to be pure and undiluted. I was kind of afraid this would be of different quality than those I have on hand, but so far, it seems like it is pure, therapeutic grade essential oil. There is also a smaller bottle (10ML) with a dropper included in the box that has a sticker label on the bottle ready for use in case you need to travel with this essential oil. It's very thoughtful and convenient. AND, there's a dropper included for this 100ml bottle as well. I opened the new twist cap to examine the essential oil inside, it had a reducer cap on top of the bottle to avoid leakage. The oil itself smells very much like pure cinnamon. It doesn't smell artificial in any way. I dabbed some with my finger and wiped it on the back of my hand and the scent lasted strong for a period of time. I am trying this brand for this first time, and I think it is made of good quality, the extra travel bottle included is a plus, and the dropper is appreciated. I will try more items from this company in the future, maybe their other essential oils are also made of quality.

I have purchased other oils from this brand previously and they have all been great. This one is no exception. It smells like fresh cinnamon and reminds me of the fall. It is spicy, sweet and zesty. It is safe for skin use as long as it is properly diluted. I like to diffuse cinnamon or use it to make soaps, skincare products or candles. I will sometimes pair it with bergamot or frankincense. This is a great value for a 100% natural, very large bottle of essential oil. It arrives in a 3.38oz amber glass bottle within a secure box with an additional smaller travel sized bottle (already labeled) for on-the-go use or for traveling. I have had a great experience with my oils from this company and they have worked out really well in my soaps and other skincare recipes. I will definitely continue to purchase from them in the future :)
