Bamboo Electric Toothbrush Replacement Heads Compatible with Philips Sonicare, Soft Charcoal Infused Bristles...

These bamboo toothbrush heads are a solid replacement for my Fits C3 - HX9042/65 heads. They're an excellent sustainable choice since they're made entirely of bamboo. While the bristles are softer than the denser OEM heads, they offer a medium firmness overall. They fit securely on my Philips Sonicare toothbrush, and I haven't had any issues with them shifting while in use.

It fits my Sonicare 4100, and I love the idea of a 100% plastic free and biodegradable toothbrush. Even the packaging is recyclable. Accordingly, it doesn't come with a protective cap like other replacement heads, but I don't think it is necessary anyways. Some things I was wondering about: 1. I do have charcoal toothpaste and it works really well but I don't really understand the concept of a charcool-infused brush head completely. As you can see from the picture the tip appears still white-ish and I doubt that the brush head can release enough charcoal over a 3 months period. Am I missing something? 2. The other thing is that I noticed that the bristles are kind of "sharp"? I have sensitive gums at the moment, and they actually started hurting a little towards the end. I was wondering if it really was the new brush head so I put my plastic head back on, and it didn't hurt anymore. So this is something you may want to consider. It may be anecdotal, though.

Update: I did notice some black spitting into the sink day 2, but its still brushing wellcomparable if not better than my Boohead brushes Fits my aquasonic electric toothbrush better than my boo head brushes. Super soft bristles without being that UNCOMFORTABLE kind of soft (unless ofc youre using it as strictly manual/without electric power). Soft enough to really clean the gumline well, without irritating it. Hoping the charcoal will help with whitening since my teeth seemed to get a little more yellow with the non charcoal boohead ones.

These bamboo heads seem well made and mounted to my Sonicare easily. The bamboo is a unique offering and I admire the minimal use of plastic for both the product and packaging. If you have sensitive gums, these will work well. Other reviewers gave poor reviews because the bristles are so soft. They are, but because they are tapered and fairly sharp...they get into my gum line and between teeth really well. They truly do well against plaque and in cleaning my gum lines. I'm impressed! The value is fantastic compared to the expensive oem units and they offer a level of cleaning and sustainability that other heads have not come close to in my experience. I plan to reorder.

I was interested to try these as a non plastic alternative and was happy to see that they also came with no extra plastic packaging. The bristles are somewhere in the soft to medium range and provide a satisfying clean. The heads fit on the sonicare well but there is some understandable compromise here vs the solid click of a plastic toothbrush head. Overall these work well and if you're interested in making some small adjustments to the amount of plastic you consume these heads completely fulfill that goal.
