Baofeng BF-S112 Two Way Radio Speaker looks very much like the one shown here. Sound clarity good, experiencing no feedback whatsoever even when I talk close into mic to test it out. It has a sturdy clip on the back of it and holds firmly in place when attached to coat. Since it's a two pin adapter it should work well with alot of other Two Way Radios so if you don't have a Baofeng don't automatically think that just because it a Baofeng BF-S112 Two Way Radio Speaker that it won't work with any Two Way Radio you might already have or might be thinking about getting. I think for the cost it's a very good deal and a well put together product and I would recommend it to anyone thinking about buying a two way radio speaker. Satisfied with quality and it's performance.

i had been a licensed ham for over a year (KJ6UVZ-tech class) but couldn't really afford a handheld. the one i wanted was a Yaesu like my fellow ham John (AG6TA) used, but its price tag was beyond that which my meager hourly wage could afford. Along comes the Baofeng UV-5R... i had been reading reviews on the radio and was impressed my what i read. i actually saw very few negative reviews. Those that were negative dealt mainly with a poorly-written and prepared owners manual (which i found out for myself that they weren't kidding), but there was an excellent user-developed and written manual available online (google "baofeng uv-5r" and look for the yahoo link. you won't be sorry). programming the ht is a cakewalk, thanks to a program called Chirp (sic), also easily found on the net. the program is freeware and pretty straightforward (at least, it was for me). To summarize, if you are a newbie (like myself) or a seasoned ham looking for a good, inexpensive ht, you won't be disappointed with the uv-5r. one thing i would recommend, though...don't use the radio's rubber duck antenna. there are plenty of good, inexpensive whip antennas available for the ht, and you can find them here on ZeeBooth, or at any retailer dealing with ham radio equipment. i got mine at ham radio outlet in sunnyvale, california.

First, it is not as pictured in the main photos. However, one of our fellow ZeeBoothers supplied us with a couple of pictures of the actual item. I prefer the older style , but the new one has features that the other didn't. Outside of the general styling changes are the additions of a red transmit LED and a covered earphone jack. I think its a fair trade off. With that said...... most speaker/mic cost at a minumum $45, so i really wasn't sure what to expect. Because my Baofeng UV-5R+ was of very good quality. I took a chance. I'm glad i did. The build quality is very good for the price. The cord is fairly heavy duty and plugs into the radio without a problem. The cord itself is vey stiff, so i would suggest excercising (stretching) the cord for a bit before you use it so it won't put too much pressure on the stress points. The clip on the back is sturdy, but a little short for my taste, and the ratcheting on the clip is a bit loose. The mic has an ear jac. I haven't tried it yet, but should come in handy. The only problem is that the earphone cover is plastic and molded directly to the mic stress reliever. So if you use the ear jack you may not be able to plug the cover back in. The speaker is plenty loud and clear with litte to no distortion. The mic transmits fine but is a bit directional, but that is on purpose. I'm not a big fan of the PTT (push to talk) button. It works via a heavy and loud click. Sounds like a childs toy, but it really does feel solid and should last...just annoying and surely not stealthy..LOL. I would recomend that anyone with a compatible Baofeng radio buy one of these. They are well worth the money and work just great. the only reason i didn't give five stars is because nothing is perfect....Hope this helped
