Solid camera wrap

When I saw a fellow photographer whip one of these camera wraps out, I was perplexed. Thick, soft, sort of fluffy, and it sticks to itself like velcro? But it doesn't scratch or harm the lens? And you can fold it up in any shape and use it either as a full wrap, half wrap, or just plain padding in your bag? Well, if this single piece of cloth can do all that, sign me up. I'm tired of being confined and limited to lens cases taking up too much room, or constantly adjusting my velcro dividers to get a snug fit. This protective wrap does it all. Thick or thin, folded or flat, its practical origami for my camera gear. I love it!

BEIYANG Camera Protective Wrap

I am compulsive about keeping my camera gear clean and new looking. I have protective cases and camera bags but, sometimes, I just want to take a camera and lens with me without having the camera bag. I've seen these protective wraps and I was curious about them. I thought it would be too small to wrap a camera body and small zoom lens but it will fit my Canon EOS R7 with an EF 17-55mm f/2.8 and lens adapter. It's not a perfect fit, as the lens is a little long, but it would be a great fit if I didn't have to use the adapter. It does everything the listing says it will. It's soft and does adhere to itself. This will be very handy to have around.

super cool fabric

Not going to lie, I spent the first 30 minutes of owning this equipment wrap just playing with its material. I have never seen a microfiber product that adheres to itself so well on one side, but not the other, while being soft and scratch free. The sheer adhesion is super impressive, making it almost difficult to get unrolled depending on how you store it. It does a great job of protecting my camera while in my dry bag for kayaking

Convenient protection for lenses

I was dubious about the ability of this fabric to stick to itself, and when it arrived I said to myself "That's it? Really?" But I gave it a shot and wrapped it around my vintage "stovepipe" lens the way they show in the listing and voila! The thick, soft fabric does cling to itself and this is a super quick and easy way to protect lenses, especially when swapping them out on set so you don't have a naked lens accidentally roll off a table in the heat of battle. You could even write on these with a permanent marker to ID what lens is inside if you have several together.
