These beading mats are great. My only suggestion on making them even better would be to make the narrow channel just a bit wider so that the beads would sit inside and not just roll out.

These have been super easy to use for making jewelry especially on the days when I'm feeling especially sensitive to sound. The beads don't make as much noise on these felt mats.

I gave these a 4 because they are nicely designed and you do get a variety of sizes. My only complaint is that the beading surface is too hard and the beads tend to roll away or fly through the air when trying to pick them up with the needle.

I love these bead mats They're going to be very useful to me. The mats are made of two layers of a stiff felt material. The bottom layer of off-white felt forms the base. The top red layer has cut-outs for a series of compartments used to sort beads and a central section for placing the project. Each of the little compartments are labeled A, B, C, D, etc. This will be great when working on complicated bead weaving projects using a lot of different colors where each color is assigned a label in the pattern. It's clear that these mats were designed by someone who is familiar with beading. Each of the mats has a built-in ruler. The rulers on the three largest mats show both cm and inches. The smallest mat only has cm. The three largest mats each has a row of round indentations with size labels below in sizes ranging from 2mm to 16mm in 2 mm increments (2mm, 4mm, 6mm, ... 16mm). These are very useful for quickly measuring the size of round beads when a caliper isn't available. The sizes stamped on two of the three mats are clear and easy to read. The sizes stamped on the next to the largest mat are much harder to read. I like the fact that they included 4 different sizes of mats so that I can pick a convenient size for each project based on the size of the piece and the number of beads involved. I think the smallest one will be perfect to travel with because it doesn't take up very much space. I am going to love using these bead mats for all of my beading projects. They will work for wire wrapping, bead stringing, bead weaving, etc. I think I'm going to appreciate them best for bead weaving however because none of my other bead mats can accommodate seed beads as well as these can.
