None of the sleep headbands come with speakers this thin any more! So I bought these and swapped them into my headbands and they are so much better. I can sleep on my side without anything digging into my ear.

I had a bluetooth beanie that I dropped and it broke in a way that needed replacing. I only found replacements from Asia that were cheap but 6 weeks in shipping. So when these popped up I was very happy. It took me a while to get time to do the project, and I found some issues - the button template on the hat didn't match this one so I had to 3D print a design the replace the button faceplate, which took a few tries. I was also replacing a very good sounding system and was expecting to be disappointed on sound quality. But, I was very surprised at how good they sound. Battery life of about 8 hours, good sound with full bass. Comfortable for side sleeping as speakers right over the ear (in the beanie). Just so much good stuff. And it's priced right. You can get a bluetooth beanie for $12 and up, but a decent one is usually closer to $20. So, for a DIY kit to make (or fix) your own, the price is right in line. That said, getting a bluetooth audio receiver with a rechargeable battery and two speakers for under $10 blows my mind. We really do live in good times if we have the right perspective. I have to recommend these - highly.

I'd gotten this to replace the speakers in a wired sleep headband so that I could have Bluetooth instead, as the cord would sometimes get twisted or end up around my neck, which was enough to wake me up. I didn't realize that the button and charging part of this was made of hard plastic, but that's on me because I should have checked the photos. Still, would have been nice if that part had some soft piece around it, because I've put these in my pillow and rolled over onto the controls and pain or discomfort ensued. Looks like the headbands this is intended for probably do offer the padding in the headbands themselves. The sound quality of these speakers is pretty impressive, honestly. They aren't very loud, so you can't use them under the pillow. I stash them in the pillowcase, and that generally works. They seem very directional, though. Probably a very good thing when in a headband, but in my case, with the hard controls with nowhere we go, the headband approach didn't work out for me. Battery life is very good. I can use these for a few nights in a row listening to an hour of audio and falling asleep to it. They sound clear enough for me, but it doesn't seem to adversely affect my wife's sleep. Overall, these are decent. Not sure if the price is all that great, as you can find Bluetooth headbands for basically the same price. In any case, these met the needs for me, when used as pillow speakers, as long as I can get the controls in a position that I won't roll over onto it while I'm sleeping. Maybe I'll put together some soft case for it.

Nothing amazing sound wise but great for sleep. I got tired of using ear buds so these make it easier to listen to my favorite sleep tracks.
