Overall great quality product. I have used L-Alanine on and off for yrs. I see measurable increased endurance during intense training. For my bodyweight I ingest 6grams 45 minutes prior to working out. I like the quality, the simple convenient packaging. My one "complaint" is more of a "it would be nice" if the product came with a small measuring spoon that would easily measure out 1-2 grams at a time

There are several reasons for purchasing this. Anything that might help me to convert glucose into energy or aid in detoxifying my body (I have a list of health issues I didn't create. I'm always looking for ways to cut any chemical I can from my body or environment to the point we switched to organic farming 15 years ago. We farm, as in growing crops for others, not gardening. Though gardening is lovely. Nothing like freshly picked anything). My main reason was to hopefully give me a leg up on preventing type 2 diabetes. It runs in my family. L-alanine may help with glucose conversion. I monitor my blood sugar religiously. A few years ago it started to rise and I dropped 10 pounds in 2 months. It hasn't changed more than a few points either way since than. My A1C is nearly perfect. A lifestyle change that I could do as opposed to illness that I have no control over. I may never know if adding this helped me avoid type 2, or delay it if I can't beat genetics, but I'm using every tool available. The worst that could happen is it doesn't help, and if I've been diligent about my weight, my fate was determined at birth. How could I ever ignore something that is so easy and inexpensive to take in my war against my own body's failures?

Again, I am totally satisfied with my purchase from Bulk Supplements. By now, I have ordered at least ten separate items from them and have never been disappointed. I an so impressed with the purity and that no added ingredients are included. I don't remember which supplement o bought first from them, but was offered a sample (smallest sized pkg,) of another supplement in return for an honest review. I asked to try their d-ribose, since I have issues with chronic mental and physical fatigue. I had bought several other brands of d-ribose previously, based largely on price. Let me tell you, there was no comparison. The Bulk Supplements D-ribose beat every other I'd tried, hands down. It didn't clump, like some others, it had no weird, sour taste and it just felt healthy. It was a pure crystalline powder. By far, the best supplements i have bought here :/ the last five years have come from them. I was purchasing their products when they were still known as BYOB. I have stuck with them that long. I have written 3-4 reviews of supplements from Bulk Supplements tonight. I never got around to writing v the promised review for the free sample product and have felt guilty ever since, especially since they have been so nice. There was never a harangue .or even a reminder that I owed them a review. So basically I got a free product without living up to my end of the bargain. But do aware, if you promise to do a review in exchange for a product sample, but then don't submit the review, no more offers of samples for reviews. Which is, of course eminently fair. This review, and the others, are meant to be my belated apology for not having written the original promised review. (I have quite a lot of health issues, to the point of total incapacitation frequently (that's why I buy about 150 supplements a year from ZeeBooth trying to help myself, since God knows, doctors in this country no longer even attempt to make your health better. Not even to diagnose any cause for symptoms - they all simply practice symptom management with a prescription pad. Quick and easy and no real knowledge required. That's why Syu many of us are here right now, reading supplement reviews, trying to do for ourselves what clinicians should be doing- seeking treatment for the cause of the symptoms. Not just covering them up. That's why companies like Bulk Supplements are invaluable. This review is my honest, unreimbursed opinion. I hope Bulk Supplements will forgive my lateness and accept my apologies. I haven't opened my mail for over a year either. Writing these took a lot out of me, energy that I didn't have.
