The media could not be loaded. This is what I wanted, except the pen is not secured in its setting. If the notebook is turned with downside up then the pen slips out. I tried narrowing the opening with pliers, but the metal is resistant. I wrapped tape around the pen a couple times to fix it. Of course that detracts from its appearance. I bought 4 notebooks and the problem exists with all of them.

When I first ordered it, I wanted to stick it on the back of a special folder with 2-sided scotch tape, but I thought it was too small. Then I later got the idea to stick it on the back of my cell phone with the 2-sided tape (try not to laugh, it really holds it on good!) and it works great. I always carry my phone with me and the flip-open pad holder is right there if I need to write a quick note. If the paper runs out of space though, I have to stick it on the back of the pad with glue-stick instead of throwing it away as the pad will get loose and not stay in as firmly as I use the papers up. Also, I've had to stick in behind the pad a plastic out-of-date library card to hold the pad in more firmly because the pads don't stay in that firmly anyway. And too, the pen slips out of the holder rather easily, and I'm wanting to tighen that down a little so the pen will stay more firmly. There are a few little flaws but no problem, they're correctable! It's a really neat item and I now have 4 extras. I give it an A-.

They're sharp. They are metal. Will need to file the edges.
