It was easy to work with this jumbo yarn. It was the first time crocheting with jumbo yarn so I dont have anything to compare it to. But once I got used to how to adjust the tension, crocheting the blanket went by fast. That being said, a skein goes by fast. One skein made only about 2-3 rows on the blanket shown in the pictures. I had to order 6 more skeins in addition to the original six. The finished product is heavy, very warm and BULKY! So have a plan on where you will display or store a blanket made out of this yarn. I should note, being as bulky as it is the ends dont weave in well. Instead I hand stitched the ends together with matching thread and a needle. Note: Last picture is of the finished blanket. I used 11.5 skeins. The yarn comes completely unmarked. No dye lots. No weights or yardage. Beware the variation in color between skeins. I didnt notice this until I took a picture at night with only artificial light. Its very obvious.

It the appearance of this yarn and it was super easy to hand knit with. I ordered the beautiful heather grey and it made a great blanket. Would recommend this yarn.

I got this yarn to try since I have been working with a lot of chanille and chunky yarn recently. It lived up to my expectations. It is soft, but not fragile. It doesn't snap when you pull it tight. It is dense and thick and would make very warm winter hats. If using for baby blankets, it would be warm for that purpose as well. If using for amigurumi, it's good since it doesn't break. Most of the amigurumi projects I make require crocheting in the round and when you close the magic circle, that's usually when the yarn breaks. I haven't had that happen with this yarn. You'll obviously need a much larger hook to work with this yarn because of it's bulk. I had to use a 16mm hook with this yarn, when I normally use a 5-6 mm for the projects I do. That's how bulky/chunky this yarn is. I rate this at 5 stars for quality, softness, ease of use and value for the price. This is as good as brands such as Bernat or Lion brand and the price for 2 skeins of this is a better price than those other brands. If you want to save a few dollars by getting this over the competition, you won't have to sacrifice quality. This yarn is worth it.
