I didn't like the ribbon like leash material when I got it, but decided to give it a try. It worked okay until now. 7 months after buying it! Now the leash will NOT retract and I can't use it. So now I'm going to have to buy another leash. Don't waste your money!

Love this double leash! Easy to use and take both my pups out. Strong and sturdy.

I have two small chiweenies. They are sisters. The brown one is blind . Her sister has led her around her entire life (they are 8). Blue can lead in the front, and Cheese is just the perfect distance behind her sister to be able to find her way. The length of this dual lead is perfect. We've had our first successful walk with this lead since we rescued them 1.5 years ago. I'm so happy and pleased with this purchase. It seems to be good quality so far. My girls are small, and won't try to chew thru this. It is thin, but that's great for them bc it's lightweight. So far this is the perfect lead for our needs!

The couplers on this leash are plastic cable covered and are very sturdy. I got this because my one dog chews through the nylon leash. However the nylon part of the leash is very thin. Actually the thinnest leash Ive seen. It says that it will support up to 50 lbs. per dog. So we will see how this holds up since I used it for the first time. The thin part of the leash twists since the dogs switch sides while walking. The handle closure that locks the length of the leash is very small and not as easy to lock as other leashes Ive used. Although you dont need to lock it with another button. All in all I like not using 2 leashes but Im still adjusting. My one dog is a puller when he walks and the other dog gets pulled quite a bit. The handle of the leash is heavier than Im used to but sturdy. The long nylon leash is not what I expected to find with such sturdy couplers.

Review for Medium/Large Size Leash I had high hopes for this leash. It had excellent reviews and I thought it would be excellent for my new dog- a 32lb Australian Shepard mix. It seems very heavy duty in terms of the internals- It's heavy in your hand and somewhat hard to carry. I've been using it for about two weeks and while it certainly is up to the task with my dog, my wife complains that it is hard for her to carry in her slightly smaller hands. Our dog hasn't been through obedience school yet- so she pulls a lot during walks- and my wife has complained that its hard to keep her grip on this leash. Something both of us have complained about- it often jams when you try and retract it. Rather than using a string, this uses more of a flat tape-like material as the leash lead. Unless you are really careful in retracting it- it jams at least 2-3 times each time we take our dog for a walk- and must be pulled and played with in order for it to become unjammed. This is super annoying considering that our other leash that we use for our smaller dog has never jammed in the six years that we've owned it. That leash was a lot cheaper- about 1/3rd the cost of this leash. Unfortunately, that leash couldn't likely hold my new dog. One last thing- the medium/large version of this leash says that it will hold upto around 100lbs... I'm not so sure of that. I probably wouldn't recommend that you use this leash for a dog that is over 50lbs. I had high expectations considering the cost of this leash considering its cost. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if the extra cost over the ones sold in big box stores is worth it.
