It smells delicious and wonderful. It tastes good in tea. But you can cook with it. Desserts, baking and decorations on frosting. So aromatic. You need smell a vision. The smell is absolutely intoxicating.
I really love lavender and I have used this dried lavender to make several herbal tea blends and lavender infused lattes. It smells great so even when I experiment with flavors that don't turn out very tasty it still is a very pleasant and relaxing experience because of the aroma. Overall, definitely would recommend.
Years ago, I had my first taste of lavender tea and fell in love with the flavor. The floral scent mixed in with the slightly sweet taste is both refreshing and tasty. When I saw this one from Turkey, I knew I wanted to try it. So what did I think? Upon opening the container, I was met with the strong scent of lavender. The dried buds look fresh-dried and I didnt see any dust in the bottom of the container (indicating that its old). I immediately started by making myself a cup of tea and admittedly, I had to play around with the amount of tea until I figured out the right amount that wouldnt make it taste too strong. I did/do enjoy(ed) the flavor immensely provided it isnt too strong (then it became bitter). The baker in the house also used some to make a lavender tea bread, which was delicious. One criticism I do have is the container. The clear plastic isnt the best choice I get it, for shipping purposes but as soon as it arrived, I transferred it over to a dark glass jar. Otherwise, very tasty and Im quite pleased.
Saw a recipe on Pinterest for lavender limeade it was delicious. These dried lavender herbs worked perfectly. Now looking for other lavender recipes.
QUICK SUMMARY: We drink a lot of tea in our household - I mean a LOT. Lavender is one of the rare types of flavor that is a favorite of everyone in the household. I'll cut to the chase here - these leaves are fantastic. THE GOOD STUFF: - Good portion of leaves for the price - Leaves arrived fresh and smell amazing - Packaging keeps the leaves sealed up and safe from moisture - Works great as a tea addition or in other foods (baking is great!) THE NOT SO GOOD STUFF: - Nothing to report here. This is a fantastic product.
