Got this building set for my teenage daughter who likes to decorate her room with these kinds of kits. She liked the design, and the finished build looks good. The clear box makes it especially good for displaying the finished piece. Be forewarned, these are not standard Lego sized bricks, but instead are smaller micro bricks. They're harder to handle and manipulate, so this is more suitable for older kids. The instructions are mostly okay, with the occasional instruction being a little hard to decipher but nothing major. Overall, this was a fun build with some challenge mainly due to the small brick size and a satisfying and good looking finished piece to show off.

I had been avoiding micro brick sets, but this combination of flowers and drums is the sort of design I had hoped to find to build as a memorial to a childhood friend who passed away a couple years ago. The design is, unfortunately, nearly impossible to complete fully. I've built a handful of micro brick sets, and several more botanical sets in regular size and mini bricks, so the combination of micro and botanical isn't really outside of my skill level. As more and more modules were added to the largest plate, however, I found it impossible to get some pieces to remain attached. The large plate flexes too much for weak connections to hold. Adding the two large flowers at the end of the instructions required removing most of the rest of the build, and even then, the one at front left simply refuses to remain connected. I just had to settle for letting it sit in place. Fortunately, the dust cover will limit the possibility of this build getting bumped into, and the modules are packed so closely together that connected or not makes very little visual difference. The problem with micro bricks' instructions being an enormous folded poster-sized single sheet is present as usual, as are the step inventories with piece counts exceeding 100. The step illustrations are sufficiently large, and the instructions overall are adequate. I think the philosophy of building modules and installing them onto the build just doesn't serve this design especially well. Some of this might work better if you're gluing pieces, but even then, those last two flowers need to go on somehow. Piece quality is generally OK. I had a couple pieces that didn't want to connect, but extras of most are included, and at times just using those pieces in different places avoided the problem connection entirely. I would have thought the botanical pieces would have been the trickiest, but it was 1x2 plates and 90-degree bent tubes that really gave me trouble. Assembling the various tiny petals and leaves, while challenging, were the most enjoyable parts for me. Overall, this set isn't bad, but I can't really recommend it either except for someone looking for an extreme challenge. In the future, I plan to stick with mini bricks as the smallest I'll go on botanical builds.
