Would be easier to just rinse my ears in the shower

After treating my impacted ear and informing me about the correct use of ear drops, my audiologist said occasional irrigation of the ears is recommended. So I tried this kit. It charges in an hour and was easy to assemble. The battery and water temperature display are useful. The output stream of water is low-volume and very narrow, so it is not as messy as I thought it would be, nor is it uncomfortable. I did not like that it took several tries and adjustments of the dip tube before the unit would pump. It is also a little tricky to pump the ear opposite your dominant hand. What I learned from my recent experience is that you REALLY have to be careful poking stuff in your ear and the ear tip on this unit is very pointy, so dont go too deep. Even my audiologist was reluctant to get too close to my eardrum. My conclusion is that the unit works, so I will rate it a 4 for that. But I also think its a bit of a performance to use, clean, etc. and Im wondering why I wouldnt just turn up each ear to the warm water and rinse out my ears while Im in the shower.

Good way to flush out your ears for sure

This is much more effective than the type with the bottle you squeeze. Really helps to be able to irrigate out any buildup or blockages. Use warm water and plenty of it, helps to let it soak a bit to soften up "stuff" that might be in there.

Handy features, can be uncomfortable

Nice complete package for cleansing ears, includes a temp monitored bottle, spray bottle with replaceable fairy tips and spray shield. Overall hit has sufficient pressure to dislodge wax. Design of the tip can inadvertently spray the tympanic membrane, which is very uncomfortable. Overall a decent product, just use with caution

PERFECT!!

I have a tendency to get some wax build-up in my hears. Learned, the hard way, that ear wax and Q-Tips are NOT a good combination! More often than not, they push the wax further into your ear, and sticking anything in your ear can cause a lot of damage. This ear flusher is just like the one they've used on me in my doctor's office after I've caused Q-Tip damage. Works great every time!! On my doctor's advice, I use a 50/50 mix of hydrogen peroxide and tepid water. Simply tilt your head over the included collection cup, insert the tip of the flusher into your ear, and repeatedly squirt the mixture into your ear until the wax literally falls out into the cup. It's no more difficult than spraying Windex on your windows. Lol. Seriously, this thing works great, and is infinitely safer than using cotton swabs or anything else you might stick into your ear canal. No home should be without one. Highly recommend!!
