Great flavor

Bought for chicken but good on burgers too.

Nice taco seasoning blend that is a good value; has salt

This tastes fairly similar to other taco seasonings with a subtle difference that many won't notice but those who cook a lot likely will. It's got a slightly more earthy note, probably from the small amount of turmeric in this. I think it's got a great flavor for making American-style ground beef tacos or chili. I also like this taco seasoning mix on breakfast potatoes, and it's also great on popcorn. This already has salt added, so the main limitation with this is that you can't apply too heavily or your dish would be salty. That is common with most seasoning mixes, though. It also has MSG, which gets a bad rap, probably unnecessarily. Now it's appreciated that a little MSG might reduce the overall sodium a food needs, so if you don't have any sensitivities, the story is not all bad. One odd thing about this is that the product info says it contains fenugreek and allspice, but yet those are not listed on the ingredients list, nor are those really distinct in the taste (fenugreek is pretty strong so you'd think it would be obvious if it had that).

Fresh and flavorful, though not my favorite overall

This is fresh and has a rich scent, rather than a spoonful I prefer to use a few generous shakes, to get a strong flavor, and this did blend into some ground pork I fried up nicely, it did not stick to the pan or make the meat orange or greasy, as some seasonings do. The flavor was good, but not my favorite. Taste is very subjective, but I'd try to describe it to you by saying it's the *profile* of flavor which threw me- I normally prefer very "Southwestern" flavor, with hints of chilies and tangy spices, whereas this was a more an "Eastern" sort of flavor, with more mellow earth notes and an herb-like hint. I think it was a good flavor, overall, but it did not have that bold punchy sort of "zing" I look for with my lime Carnitas and mango salsa. This was more... "savory"? It did much better for Enchiladas, where the more earthy tone paired with the red sauce and baked corn shells better than tacos, in my opinion. For freshness and to try something new, this was fun, and not mild or boring, but on personal preference alone, I prefer more "zing".

Product not sealed when delivered

I think the product is good and well priced but it was open in the delivery package with about a teaspoon pilled inside. Not sure if I want to use it.
