These pens by Borges are a two-pack with two separate presentation boxes, and with accompanying refills of black gel ink. They write extremely smoothly, and they have a sharply elegant look to them. The value is good; they're sturdy and easy to refill.

Being of a certain age, I still use pens in my everyday needs vice electronically. So, I can appreciate a well-designed writing utensil. This pen, however, just doesn't quite meet the mark for me. Upfront, yes, I rated it a 4, but I would give it a 3.5 if able to give partials. First, make sure that you remove the protective plastic from the writing end, or you may think the pen is defective. In so far as a "ballpoint", I think that is not correct. This pen very much so performs like a fountain pen. For example, if you hold the pen in one spot on your paper, the ink will definitely run, and it will leak through your paper. It can get pretty messy if your mindset is you are using a ballpoint. Also, the cap has a pleasing click when placed on the pen to close it, however, if using the pen and you put the cap on the top end, it has to really be either pushed on hard or twisted or it will come off very easily while writing and you really need to have it on the pen or else the pen is just not balanced. Overall, this is not a favored pen of mine by a long shot. After the first use, I have ink on my hand...like a fountain pen sometimes. These box that it comes in is very nice and would make a nice gift, but the contents are just a bit lacking for me, especially at this price per pen. Hope that helps you today.

MY OPINION: At first with this Pen Set I was expecting it to be of very good quality. Description says ballpoint, it is ballpoint but I feel it almost wright like a gel pen. Ink comes out like a gel pen, I believe, smudges a little. I'm a left hander and ink was on my hand and smudged on the paper. You get 2 pens and refills in a nice box, but I was expecting a better quality pen and ink. The casing is made of thin metal. Easy to hold, a little on the thick side. I love collecting pens and have had a lot better and a lot worse, so I would say this pen set is in the middle. Also, make sure you take off the little protective piece on the tip. When I took mine off some of the ink came out and got on my thumb, that was about 4 days ago and it's still there, after taking showers everyday, doing dishes by hand everyday and constantly washing my hands about 100 times a day, still a smudge mark on my thumb...lol...good ink...lol

My first disappointment with this product is the misleading description. It says that these pens are silver with silver ink. The picture shows a gray pen with rose gold accents. What I received is a yellow and green colored pen with rose gold accents. I originally thought they just sent the wrong thing, so I returned and requested a replacement, but I received the same color again. The pens feel nice and heavy. They feel good to hold, but the cap doesnt stay on the end of the pen when youre writing. Youll have to set it aside instead. The ink is dark, but not very smooth. I will sometimes get patches of no-ink while writing. They do come in a very nice, impressive box for gifting though. This is an average pen in a fancy box. Not very impressed.
