Ive had this for two weeks. Easy to put together. I havent seen any gnats etc on the sticky strip but there are none flying around anymore. There have been a lot of gnats or fruit flies in my house the last few months in the kitchen and primary bathroom. . I saw only one moving around in the kitchen since I got this insect trap and it was not flying long. So it seems this thing is working 100%. Maybe theyre getting sticky stuff on them and dying somewhere since there are none on the sticky piece. I dont know. Im just so happy the little fruit flies or gnats are gone. The blue light is very bright at night when its dark. So I unplug it. I like that theres a switch for a night light. I use that in the evenings. I plug this thing into an outlet on the kitchen island near where I was seeing most bugs.

I love the blue light as it works as a night light without using the one included with the device. A nice addition, but not necessary in my situation. The lamp is not small with the card being about five inches square. You can see itt plugged into my bathroom wall in the first image, and the number of invading insects that it caught over two nights of running. Four stars because it does block BOTH sockets in a two-socket outlet. No way to plug in anything else due to the design. Other than that, two thumbs covered in bugs UP.

This is a nice product in theory, but just so-so in practice. As the photos show, a month's worth of dead bugs didn't amount to much --- and this was placed in a basement area with plenty of insect action. I did pull off a couple of big dead flies, however. So, if you want a nightlight that occasionally kills a bug, this is for you. If you want something really effective, skip it.

It worked smart should for a week then the Blue light that attracts the flies stops working. Now only the white light on bottom of unit works. Well now what to do! So I peeled off another card and taped it to the bottom of the unit. We'll see if that works.

This trap works like it should. It's the same as the blue light electric zappers, only this kills them with glue instead of loud electric shocks that scare my dog. The blue light attracts them, so it should be placed in a darker place where they can see the light better, and the buzzing around activity won't bother you. It's easy to use: just peel off the protective paper to reveal the glue, stick it into the light, plug it into an outlet, and turn on the blue light.
