I really like the way this binder looks and feels. There is opening in the cover for the rings to fit through when the binder is closed, so it is able to lay flat without the huge extra binding and triangle shape that most binders have. That is really unique and makes it feel more like a journal than a binder. The leather material is sturdy and well put together. The rings open easily and it wasn't difficult to find the paper size that can be used to refill it. It has a very clean minimal look which I absolutely love, without a lot of the extra bulk and clutter. Perfect for a more professional environment.

I have been an active journaler for a little while and I have been using notebooks and journals in the office as well as at home. I like ring-bound journals like this one for the office, where I can replace pages and refill as needed, and I selected this notebook with that thought in mind. So far I am mostly pleased with it thought I think there is room for improvement, especially considering the cost point. This is a faux leather journal with a magnetic closure and removable pages. The cover is a bit stiff which is a good thing, and overall its attractive. The pages are cream colored which is good for me because I dont like blistering white. This is a 6-ring binder and the rings are stiff on opening and closing which is also a positive thing. After that, this journal shows that the manufacturer cut corners. There is no pocket or pen holder, no ribbon marker, no marker flags, and no other extras. This is just a basic binder. However, the biggest shortcut for me is the included paper. It is decent but thinner than most other journals I have found recently and as a result it does not stand up as well to fountain pen inks. Unless I am using a pen with an EF nib I have to exercise some caution when writing to avoid bleed-through. Of course, I can avoid this with a roller ball or ballpoint, but that is not my preference. I will be replacing the paper. This isnt a bad journal but there is definitely some room for improvement. Its a very basic journal where the price would suggest a little more effort went into it. Its decent but there are better choices available.

The only thing I would change is a place to keep a pin and maybe a pocket for receipts.

This A5 binder is just okay. It comes with lined paper inside. To be honest the paper is not great quality. But thats not the biggest problem with this notebook. The biggest issue I had with it was that the magnetic clasp is unbelievably weak. So much so that as soon as I put some of my completed journal pages into it, it wouldnt close. I had to take half the pages out. I guess if youre just going to use this as a notebook, then that probably wont be a problem, but if (like me) you got this for journaling/scrapbooking, it does not work well for that. So I guess the bottom line is determine what youre going to use this for and then you can decide if you want to get this or not.

The paper that it comes with is fairly thin, but I'm not too bothered by that since we plan to buy higher quality refills when we run out. Overall it's a nice looking notebook at the price point and is designed well. The magnetic clasp is not super strong, but also is not needed. It holds a good amount of paper and has a unique look to it.
