What is like is that these shears is that they aren't much more than those cheapo plastic ones. These are sharp and very well built.

Great shears. Bad clasp

I love these shears. Perfect for precision pruning. The only problem is the clasp. It is woven fabric with no stretch. They have been making this product long enough to have figured out how to put some elastic into that band.

The media could not be loaded. Im comparing my 3 year old generic trimming sheers to the product in review. These are far far sharper than the others ever were. The others arent even really comparable as I bought the older ones for about $8. These seem like they will last many many years. They are much sharper than any desk scissors Ive ever owned. I feel like a freaking ninja with the sound that they make every time I close them. I love them. Im obsessed. I bought these for using for repotting orchids. I need small spring action shears that will cut through the occasional cattleya rhizome, but mostly will use for trimming orchid roots and leaves. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra 15 bucks. I wish I had gotten these to begin with. The other ones seem like a disposable kids toy in comparison.
