If a person needs/wants to be available by phone while on the golf course, this device is great. Its well built and sturdy. The magnet is sufficiently strong to keep this phone holder mounted on the golf cart.

I got this for my workshop. I have some metal pipes holding up shelves over where I put my computer, and I thought it would be handy to snap my phone to a MagSafe mount on one of the pipes thus not needing to make space on my cluttered desk. It worked really well for the purpose, but unfortunately the MagSafe magnet holds better than the glue holding it into the plastic and while fiddling with it to figure out what position I liked the best, and taking photos for this review, I took my phone off the way I normally remove it from my many other MagSafe mounts, and the magnet stayed on the phone, instead of staying glued to the holder. It's too bad the magnet did not stay glued in there because I really like it otherwise. It has a lot of possible angle options with two swivel joints. The one connected to the clamp arm moves a little more than I would like, but I see there is a screw in the center I can probably tighten that joint up a little. The clamp holds very well to the pipe, and it has nice padding in there, so it won't scratch the surface of whatever it's clamped to. I am going to keep it and make an attempt to glue the magnet back in myself, maybe hot melt will hold it in there, but even if I manage to fix mine, it doesn't really change anything as far as my review goes, because the glue holding the magnet in should have been stronger than the magnet from the manufacturer. Maybe this is why MagSafe magnets are normally completely encased in plastic.
