I purchase this pencil particularly to go through narrow holes that a normal pencil cannot go through. I recently used it to mark a hole through the base of a toilet, which was narrow. I also love the sharpener that screws on at the top. I would certainly recommend these, and purchase more in the future.

I have had such a hard time finding carpenter pencils but the work, like I will not stop until I find one type item. I have 6 and still have to hunt lol They make marks on PT lumber and decent lines on drywall without being overly big. Long enough and quite durable, I just need florescent orange and yellow to find them.

I love everything about these pencils. There slender and can mark out in tight deeper areas. The yellow pencils work well on metal and work better than soap stone in my opinion. As a welder this is my go to marking utensil.

I use these in metal fabrication and the built in sharpener means you can always have a decent point. The yellow is my go to color and may never use the gray/black. Might have to try the red refills. They wear down quickly on rough metal but unlike June Gold deep reach markers (which I also have and which have completely failed) you can simply sharpen the tips. I much prefer these over any ink refill deep reach marker. Very good value for the money and I use these every single day.
