I am using it as we speak and this is a godsend right now because I was having a lot of cramps and pain. It didnt take me too long to just grab it and throw it in the microwave for 30 seconds and then just pop it on. It has some weight to it as well, so it stays in place. Really easy to use and convenient because it creates no mess.

This is such a nice heating pad. One side is a thin cotton canvas type of material with a nice floral paisley pattern. The other side is a gray minky, swirly, plush type of material. It seems to be sewn well. The inside contains flaxseed and lavender. The heating pad is sewn so that its contents will not spill out, nor can they be accessed. Its portable, wireless, requires no battery - just microwave and its ready to use. After I put the heating pad in the microwave and heated it for about 40 seconds, it became warm enough to radiate heat, and I scent of lavender began to fill the air. I'm sure the time will vary depending on various factors. I think microwaving it in 10 to 20 second increments is your best bet. The lavender smells sooooo good! And this is real lavender, not a synthetic chemical scent. Its always so comforting to have something heated, soft, and nice smelling resting on my body, especially when Im experiencing pain, aches, or discomfort. It feels great simply resting on my abdomen. I found that I could roll it up a little and put it behind my neck while leaning back in an office chair. Its also flexible enough to contour to my legs and arms. The warmth lasted quite a while - long enough to be therapeutic. One thing I dont like is that it seems like it isnt filled enough. If you pick it up on one side, all the lavender and flax settles at the other end and the weight becomes uneven. It might help if there were a few sewn compartments inside, sort of like weighted blankets have, to keep the contents evenly distributed. You also have to watch it in the microwave to make sure it doesnt overheat and burn. It comes with instructions which say that it cannot be washed and shouldnt get wet, but online it says its washable. I would assume that you shouldnt wash it, although Im sure you could wipe it with a damp cloth if necessary. FINAL THOUGHTS: I love so much about this heating pad. The cloud shape creates peaceful vibes. The scent reminds me of lavender fields. The materials are so soft on my skin. This heating pad can also be used cold, but I prefer the warmth. If you need some heat therapy (and aromatherapy!) and dont want to be tied to an outlet or worry about having to shut it off, as with a traditional heating pad, I think this is an excellent buy.

I got this to heat pad to use heated mainly for menstrual cramping. It seems made well. One side is a very soft, minky fabric, the other seems to be made of a fairly thick cotton (I think it is, it doesn't say) fabric. It's not rough, but it's not soft. It smells nicely of lavender. It's easy to just put this in the microwave for a minute or so and have a heat pack for about 15 mins. It's nice because you don't have to fuss with a cord like you do with a heating blanket or be limited to stay near an outlet. It's a generous size, so it covers a large portion of my lower abdomen. I sometimes lightly dampen one side of the pad with water so I get a moist heat. I believe the weight of the pack also contributes to making cramps feel better along with the heat. Because it's filled with tiny flax seeds, it contours to where you put it more than a pad filled with something larger (I previously had one filled with cherry seeds that was so stiff it didn't form to the area well at all.) I think the cotton side feels hotter. I like it. I think it works well.

This Hihealer microwaveable heating pad has a super soft fabric, and I love the slight scent of lavender scent. It heats easily and the weighted warmth lasts about 20 minutes for me. I tried it after placing in the freezer, and the cooling helped my sore shoulder. Recommend.
