Opening the MacBook Pro was the easiest of the Mac series. Placed and it works!

Speakers themselves were fine. The speaker wire was thicker than OEM for a Mid 2010 MB Pro. The wires had an additional layer of shrink tubing that made the wire stiff and hard to fit. However, was able to make make it work. Subwoofer portion doesn't seem to be quite as loud as original but that's fine.

I have a MacBook Pro 2010 and purchased this speaker set (left/right) in September 2021. This is second time I replaced the right speaker. The original speaker failed after 9 years or so, and in 2019, I purchased the right speaker from iFixit, which required a slight modification to fit - the right speaker was too long so I had to cut and fill the hole. After two years, the iFixit speaker failed, so I purchased this one in September 2021. The subwoofer on the right speaker unit was a smaller than the previous one and did not fit very well, whereas the right speaker section fitted perfectly. I already removed the DVD player in my MacBook so I had a plenty of room so no problem with the install. I even replaced the left speaker - this is much more labor intensive. Unfortunately, my sound deteriorated after 3 months. The subwoofer cone had a tear. I contacted the seller, and they sent me a replacement speaker. This replacement right speaker was the perfect fit (finally!), and working well (for now). While the quality of these non-OEM replacement parts are never OEM quality, I am glad someone is selling these replacement parts so that my MacBook will continue to function as my home computer. My hope is that this speaker will outlast the computer.

Despite that if you dont got the skill to replace the speakers and the complex work to do it the sound on these is acceptable not the best or OEM but quite good very good option for the value
