It was fun to bring back memories from my childhood. I wish I could upload a picture of the finished project!! If you are just picking cross stitching back up this is a great starter choice until you get the hang of it again...

This is an absolutely beautiful piece, and really easy to do! I've made a few small mistakes, but the pattern is very forgiving of small mistakes. Because there are no special stitches (like backstitches, half-cross stitch, etc) I think this would be a great beginner piece.

I used to do a lot of cross stitch and needlepoint, but had been away from it for years. So I was looking for a kit that would be fun to do, but not too complicated, as a way to ease back into needlework. This is the perfect piece for that. The colors are lovely, with no large areas in the same color, so I didn't get bored. The message is uplifting, and the pattern is very pretty. It was fairly easy, although, being rusty, I did miscount at times and had to take out some of it, but there was plenty of floss to correct my goofs. I finished it in a couple of weeks, framed it in a natural wood frame with a green mat (the same shade of green used in the cross stitch), and it's now hanging in my kitchen. I've already received compliments on it. This is a great kit for anyone who is new to counted cross stitch, as well as old-timers who would like a quick, colorful project to work on.
