Liquitex Recycled Canvas, Traditional, 12" x 12", White...

I hated the texture and couldnt blend my paint due to its slick surface. I really wanted to like these but they just dont work for me.

I always buy Liquitex canvas, but this is the first time I tried painting on a recycled canvas. I have to say I did not feel much different how the acrylics stick to the surface nor how the finish of the painting looks. I am no expert but have painted a few and I am pleasantly surprised that this is made from plastic bottles. Recommended.

Its canvas! The gesso layer is smooth and even, so I didn't need re-apply a coat. This canvas was supposed to have been made from recyclable materials, but I didn't notice a difference in painting on it. Somehow, I expected the surface to behave more plastic (or that Yupo paper stuff), but it doesn't. It accepted both acrylic and oil paint without any problems.

I periodically use Liquitex paint for larger acrylic works. I was excited to try out their pre-stretched, recycled canvas. Overall I really like it. It has a nice spring against the brush and is very sturdy. Highly recommended!

Good, pretty average. Stretched OK. No glaring sagging or anything which would be a huge issues. Honestly thought there would be a better back framing structure for the "deep edge" and cost but it's just exposed staples Will work fine but definitely doesn't scream luxury or lifetime piece Canvas itself is totally fine though, as expected. Love the eco-friendly aspect, never realized it's a complete waste to use cotton for basic gesso-ed/sealed canvases anyway!
