I hate wired headphones, but my company's paranoid security policies prohibit wireless/bluetooth headsets, so here I am. These do the trick, they have a mute button and volume control. Sound quality is good. Have not heard complaints, I've tested this to hear myself by dialing in to my same conf call via bluetooth on mute and I sound perfectly fine. The price was good so I would say it gets the job done as described and great value for the price.

Bluetooth failed on the laptop, so no headset connection. Fussing with drivers didn't work. Ordered this inexpensive wired headset with microphone. Works fine, back in business.

Bought these September 11, 2022 . August 16, 2023 had to trash them. The major issue is the wiring just above and/or below the volume control. Seems very fragile and this is the breaking point, literally. After handling these, using the volume control, the wire degrades and becomes hard and brittle. This is what is making the wires inside crumble to the point that there is no sound from one or both sides, or the volume control dies. I've had 4 of these, and each one lasted 1 year. Why do I keep buying it? Because I like how they feel on my head, easy to control volume, and it works with both my PC and phone when I use it for the mic. They don't fit TIGHT to my ears as others do because I wear computer glasses. This next pair I buy, I'll put either shrink tube or electrical tape several inches above and below the control.
